Terms of Service

By accessing or using HuddlePlay (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, hosts, and users of HuddlePlay.

HuddlePlay is a real-time multiplayer game platform designed for workplace teams. Hosts create game sessions; players join as guests without requiring an account. The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using HuddlePlay in a professional context, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age or have appropriate organizational authorization.

Host accounts are required to access premium features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately at hello@huddleplay.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

HuddlePlay offers paid subscription plans (Team and Department) available on a monthly or annual recurring basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize HuddlePlay to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing period.

Free Trial: New Team plan subscribers on a monthly billing cycle receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.

Annual Billing: Annual plans are billed as a single payment for the full year at the time of purchase. Annual subscriptions are not eligible for the free trial.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods.

Refund Policy: If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge by emailing hello@huddleplay.app. Refunds are not available after 7 days or for renewals after the initial billing. Annual plan refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

All prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes.

You agree not to use HuddlePlay to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload or transmit illegal, defamatory, or offensive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers
• Reverse engineer or copy any part of the platform
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

All content, branding, code, and design elements of HuddlePlay are owned by or licensed to HuddlePlay. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission. Trivia questions sourced from Open Trivia DB are used under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Players who join a game session as guests do not create accounts and are not required to provide personal information beyond a display name. Guest session data is temporary and is not linked to any persistent user profile.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. HuddlePlay does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HuddlePlay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. As HuddlePlay grows and establishes a formal legal entity, this section will be updated to specify the governing jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if necessary.
